In remembrance of Michelle P. Smith, it is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a remarkable person who touched the lives of many during her tenure as the COO of Hoosier Families from 2018-2023.
Michelle was an exceptional leader who brought her skills, passion, and dedication to the Hoosier Families team. Her unwavering commitment to the organization's mission and vision was evident in all that she did. She was a driving force in propelling the organization forward, leading with integrity, and inspiring those around her to do their best.
Michelle's contributions to Hoosier Families were immeasurable. She was instrumental in developing and implementing new programs that improved the lives of families across Indiana. Her expertise in organizational development and strategic planning helped to guide the organization through periods of growth and change.
Michelle was more than a colleague; she was a friend and mentor to many. Her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor endeared her to all who knew her. She was always willing to lend an ear or offer advice, and her guidance made a difference in countless lives.
Although we mourn the loss of Michelle, we celebrate her life and the impact she had on the world. Her legacy will live on through the lives she touched and the work she accomplished at Hoosier Families. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Michelle. You will be deeply missed.
